Japanese garden with extreme height difference.
We are invited to design a Japanese garden in a natural forest area with fantastic height differences. The customer took great pleasure in clearing the site himself. We were able to start with a clean canvas.
- A photo from the old box of the previous owner.
- The area is extremely sandy.
- With large equipment we start with the basics, soil improvement!

- Coarse contours are created.
- Large black rocks will give body to the garden here.
- Lots of rocks …
- Careful selection and placement of the rocks is very important.
- It now seems complete arbitrariness but there is certainly a thought behind it.
- By big we mean really big …
- Azalea and yew bulbs form the green base of this garden.
- This together with authentic Japanese shaped trees makes the green skeleton.

- Work in progress.
- Original Dutch was the request to use a piece of lawn at the back.
- At the front we use the height difference to make a dry river bed.
- Now the lines and the stones begin to join together.
- Top view
- Even more green stayers rest in the garden.
- Variety of perennials and a few large maples make a beautiful whole.
- Maple
- Trees with character.
- Ground covers and perennials, just grow!
