Construction of a Japanese back garden
In Pijnacker, we were invited to turn the newly built back garden into a Japanese oasis.
The customer had the contractor excavate the backyard and fill it with white sand.
We are going to install a japanese fence here which has already been pre-painted on our shed, so the installation will be quick.
Here, too, we install retaining walls to provide height differences in the garden.
The beginning of the entire fence is already visible.
Privacy and height difference.
Larger stones have already been placed, after which excavation of the pond can begin.
From the highest point, we will make a stream course towards the pond.
Stones make the garden.
Using the crane, we lift the boulders into place on site.
The Japanese maple is indispensable in the garden.
Several species of Japanese maples, a topiary tree ( niwaki ) and a camellia form the skeleton of the garden.
Under the gravel we laid paving slabs, this provides a stable base.
We cut the granite terrace into an organic shape.
Selected gravel forms the connection to the shed and entrance.
The stream course gently ripples over the stones.
The filter which is placed completely out of sight should now clean the water…
